Extension Store

Experimental

The Extension Store is experimental. The set of available extensions and their behavior may change in future releases.

The Extension Store, at /extensions, is where you turn platform capabilities on or off for an organization. Each capability ships as an extension with its own detail page, a category, and the roles it brings. Most extensions are off by default (Reporting is on) and are enabled per organization.

Access

Seeing and changing extensions requires the Extension Manager role, or System Admin (which includes it). Membership in the application-owner organization alone is not enough.

Enable or disable an extension

  1. Open the Extension Store from the sidebar.
  2. Browse capabilities by category, or open an extension's detail page.
  3. Toggle the extension on or off for the organization.

The setting is stored per organization. Turning an extension off hides its UI and revokes the rights it brought, but does not remove any role assignment from a user. Re-enabling restores them.

What an extension brings

An extension can bring:

  • Capabilities: new UI, tabs, or admin surfaces (for example, the Audits tab on an App Instance).
  • Roles: the extension's detail page has a Roles tab that lists the roles it brings. Those roles only count while the extension is enabled. See Roles and Rights.

Notable extensions

  • Audits: a per-App-Instance EU AI Act compliance assessment. Brings the Audit Editor and Audit Manager roles. See Audits.
  • Reporting: the usage and performance dashboard. Brings the Reporting Manager role. See Monitoring and Reporting.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting an extension's features without enabling it. Most extensions are off by default. Enable the extension in the store first.
  • Removing a role to revoke access. Disabling the extension revokes the rights it brought without touching role assignments. Re-enabling restores them.
  • Looking for the store without the role. The Extension Store is only visible to Extension Managers and System Admins.
