Release v3.1.7
3.1.7 fixes apps whose package.json was written on Windows with a UTF-8 byte-order mark (BOM), an invisible marker that some Windows editors add to the start of a file.
For Developers
- Apps with a Windows-written package.json load again: A
package.jsoncarrying a UTF-8 byte-order mark made the App Instances and Dev pages fail with an "Internal Server Error" for that app. Package files are now read regardless of a byte-order mark, and affected apps work again without being re-published. npm run deployworks with Windows-written files: A byte-order mark inpackage.jsonstopped the upload tool from reading it, so it did not add the required-devversion suffix and the server rejected the upload. The tool now reads such files correctly. To pick up the fixed tool, deletenode_modulesin the app and install again.
